Mason Jar Balloon Party Favors

Quick Jump To » Comments

This fun little DIY project transforms mini mason jars into balloons!!! 😍

And these clever candy-filled “balloons” make perfect party favors for an *About to Pop!* baby shower, a kids’ birthday party, or any other balloon-themed celebration. You can also change up this DIY project’s colors and candy filler to match any color palette you want! See the full tutorial below…

BTW – I also created a little favor sign that matches the color palette pictured here.

Mason Jar Balloon Party Favors

MATERIALS:

  • Hershey’s KISSES – in colors of your choice
  • Balloons – in colors that match the candy
  • 4 oz Mason Jars
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Cellophane
  • Baker’s twine or string
  • Printable 4×6 Favor Sign (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

***
1.
Remove the metal lid from a mason jar, and pop out the center portion of the lid, which should easily separate from the rim. Use this center portion to trace and cut a circle out of the cellophane.

2. Fill a mason jar with colored Hershey’s KISSES. Set the cellophane circle on top of the candy-filled jar, then place and twist just the outer rim of the lid back onto the jar. This should create a “window” style lid so that the colored KISSES show through.

3. Tie off a (non-inflated) balloon that’s the same color as the KISSES in the jar and trim off the tail of the balloon. Hot glue the tail to the rim of the lid and let dry.

4. Tie a balloon string around the tail of each balloon.

5. Arrange the finished favors into cute “balloon bunches” on your party favor table!
