Gorgeous “All That Glitters is Gold” First Birthday Party
The real phrase might be, “All that glitters is not gold,” but at this sparkling birthday party, I’d say that’s wrong! ;) Marisa of Mon Soiree styled this beautiful All That Glitters Is Gold 1st Birthday Party for an even more beautiful little girl. With a stunning dessert table filled with treats almost too gorgeous to eat, this party is easy on the eyes AND the tastebuds!
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Apothecary jars filled with pink, mint & gold candies + glittery gold ‘1’ & mini bunting cookies
- Vintage milk glass & mason jar vases with pink & white florals + large pink balloon table centerpieces
- Gold dusted cupcakes, gold glitter printables & customized candy bar wrappers with gold glitter stripes
- A white satin ribbon wrapped birthday cake with a beautiful pink fondant peony
PARTY DETAILS as told by Marisa…
I love Pink, Gold and Mint together — and who doesn’t love Glitter and Sparkles? So for my daughters 1st birthday, I simply had to do something sparkly and glittery, with vintage touches throughout!
I really wanted to make sure that every detail was perfect, down to the menus and table settings. The beautiful print work was created by my friend Carli over at DimplePrints; they reflected the glitter theme perfectly and just looked fabulous! To make sure we kept in line with the fact that it was a children’s party, we had beautiful large balloon centerpieces made by the lovely Shannon from Born to Party.
The dessert table was definitely the main feature of the party! We ensured that the candy and chocolates reflected the Gold Glitter, Pink and Mint theme of the party. We also had some gorgeous vintage white vases and mason jars filled with beautiful flowers from Flowers to Amaze.
The gorgeous cake was made by a family friend; the bottom tier was a Chocolate Hazelnut Cake with Chocolate Ganache, and the top tier was Red Velvet with a White Chocolate and Pina Colada Filling. The original concept for the cake was by Jacki from Blissfully Sweet, who kindly approved of us using her ‘Audrey’ cake design.
Happy Birthday Zara — we hope you had a wonderful first birthday!
