PARTY DETAILS, as told by Julia…
Valentina’s first birthday party needed to be cute, sweet, girly and fun, just like the birthday girl and her pretty mom Carolina! We were so happy to be a part of this moment and to have had such liberty creating this darling party (thanks Carol!).
Carolina wanted a different theme for her daughter’s birthday and it had to have pink, her favorite color. We were inspired by Valentina’s pink and navy bedroom and the candy colors usually used in the vintage paper dolls we chose as her theme. We wanted lots of doilies everywhere, delicate fabrics and patterns, beatiful flowers and lots of light for this party. The celebration was hosted on grandma’s yard and it was the perfect sunny day we expected!
We had a doilie backdrop with Valentina’s name in decorated paper making the scene for the gorgeous desserts made by Isa Herzog. It all looked heavenly with ruffles, lace, pink, navy and lots of miniature dresses all over the table! Isa always delights us with her creations and I fell in love with it all. The cake was beatiful, the cupcakes, cake pops, everything! But my favorite had to be the precious decorated cookies she made! Look at those cookie dresses hanging from the table! Such detail! It all looked great together. The desserts also included brigadeiros, jello and macaroons.
We had a small candy table just for the kids, all prettily arranged with lace and bows, a small table with cute tags that the guests could write on to leave Valentina their good wishes, a long table full of brigadeiros and flowers for the elderly guests to sit and enjoy the party from, the baby’s monthly pictures until her first birthday and a lot of pretty balloons! All in all the party was beatiful and a hit. We really enjoyed it!
This beautiful pictures were taken by our dear photographer and friend Giselle Sauer, who makes everything she points her lenses at look better!
