Baby Sprinkle Cake with Cloud Topper

You’ll need:
- 2 boxes of white cake mix
- 4 tubs of white frosting
- food coloring
- sprinkles
- sugar pearls (optional)
- printable cloud & raindrops cake topper
Instructions:
1. Divide the batter of the first cake into two parts: tint half of it mint and half of it peach. Mix around 1/2 cup of sprinkles into the white cake mix batter.
2. Bake each cake in two (8” or 9”) round cake pans. When cool, use a serrated knife to level each layer so they will stack evenly. When stacking the layers, alternate between cake colors to create a striped look inside the cake.
3. Use two tubs of white frosting between the layers and around the outside of the cake to create a smooth base layer (or “crumb coat”).
4. Refrigerate for an hour, then apply a top layer of white frosting to the cake. Refrigerate for another hour to let the frosting set.
5. Apply sprinkles around the sides of the cake and a small amount on top.
6. For the finishing touch, tint one tub of frosting gray and pipe dots around the base of the cake. Garnish the dots with sugar pearls.
Cake Topper Instructions:
- Cut out the printable cloud and raindrops cake topper.
- Hot glue the cloud silhouette to 2 wooden bamboo skewers.
- Glue the raindrops to clear fishing wire (or monofilament), then tape them to the back of the cloud.
- Insert the topper into the cake.
